Final Project, Robotics, National Taiwan University, 2018
Trained a convolutional neuron network to recognize sign language videos. Implemented the system to a service humanoid robot to assist deaf and speech-impaired people.
Undergraduate research, Intelligent Robot Lab, National Taiwan University, 2018
Trained the humanoid robot Pepper to learn basic social skills through Proximal Policy Optimization in deep reinforcement learning, including understanding in what situation it should greet, say bye-bye, shake hands, or simply do nothing.
Final Project, Introduction to Biomedical Engineering, National Taiwan University, 2019
Built a chair with sensors and micro controllers mounted to help lift elders when standing up.
Final Project, Introduction to Computer Networks, National Taiwan University, 2019
This is a follow-up project for the Face Dance Machine. It is deployed on a website instead of a micro controller to extend the usage.
Final Project, Embedded System Lab, National Taiwan University, 2019
Time to exercise your face and play the dancing machine game!
Undergraduate research, Intelligent Robot Lab, National Taiwan University, 2019
Combined ORB SLAM and semantic segmentation on each frame into a real-time system that builds semantic point cloud and designed an effective algorithm to localize target objects in 3D maps.
Capstone Project, MRSD Program, Carnegie Mellon University, 2020
Our team proposes a parking solution that can operate in the absence of this custom infrastructure. Our system provides an autonomous car the ability to enter a previously unexplored parking garage, navigate safely through the garage until an empty parking spot is found, and park itself. In the background, the system will be creating an accurate map of the environment that can be used by building managers, future cars entering the garage, etc.
